The Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati Collection presents the exhibition Marisa Merz. Geometrie sconnesse palpiti geometrici devoted to Marisa Merz (Turin, 1926–2019), the only female exponent of the Arte Povera group and one of the leading Italian artists of the 1960s. A selection of her most iconic works highlights the recurring theme in her oeuvre of the exploration of the face and the human figure. The exhibition brings together a corpus of 45 works embracing Marisa Merz’s entire creative horizon: from drawings on various materials to unfired clay sculptures, from copper and nylon weavings to objects transformed into wax, in an attempt to render all the expressive modalities explored by the artist.
