a collection in progress
Danna Olgiati
The exhibition entitled A Collection in Progress, presented last autumn alongside the temporary exhibition Livio Bernasconi – Carole Bove. Two Swiss American Artists, will be staged again in the spring. It will commence in the first room with the work of the American artist and leading contemporary sculptor Bove, currently still in place and now flanked by works by Lebanese artist Walid Raad and German artist Wolfgang Tillmans, prominent international figures in artistic research probing social themes, and presented here in close dialogue with Bove, with colours and script. Carol Bove represented Switzerland at the last Venice Biennale di Venezia (2017), while both Walid Raad and Wolfgang Tillmans have recently had retrospective exhibitions devoted to them, at MoMA, New York (2016–17) and the Beyeler Foundation in Basel (2017) respectively.
